I don’t splurge in passing fads, in something that any fashion girl can look at and think: that’s sooooooo last season! I’m a fan of fast fashion when it comes to items I know I won’t be wearing next year. So where does my good shopping money go? Good shoes, good purses, and good basics. Everyone needs that perfect pair of jeans, that timeless white button down, and a great layering tank top. You need pieces you can wear again and again, to create many different outfits with. That’s the whole concept of Shopping Your Closet- creating many different looks with one piece you already own. Today I’m going to show you four ways to style this versatile, red rose bra-friendly camisole from Adea.

I’ve bought many-a $8 cotton cami from various retailers, but they lost their shape after a wash or two. This Italian micro-fiber tank was very comfortable to wear, and stretchy enough to hang in all the right places, but not give me any unwanted bulges or love handles. I was able to wear it with a regular nude bra, and not a race back, or a strapless one. Big points for comfort!

If you it, you can find this cami here!

Look 1. Layered underneath a sheer top. Sure, showing your bra nowadays is very fashionable, but sometimes, a girl just needs to be a little more modest. Especially around kids, since I was taking these pictures in Coney Island. This tank is the perfect layering piece for this cute and sexy shirt.

Look 2. Layered under a shirt dress. When is too hot to button that upper button, your best bet is to layer a cami underneath. And no worries, this fabric is so breathable you’ll feel very fresh. Because is not made of natural fabrics even if you sweat, it doesn’t take long to dry. This is going to be a great cami to wear underneath my sweaters during the winter!

Look 3. An office look, and a going out look. Pair your top with a pencil skirt and a blazer for a more work-appropriate look. Lose the blazer, throw on a few bangles (keep them in your desk!) and add a fun clutch for a night out! A fun necklace will dress up any look instantly! See how to style statement necklaces here.
