As you know, working in fashion I’m virtually able to wear whatever I want to work. I don’t really have the opportunity to wear (nor do I really want to) office clothes. I got this Zara pencil skirt right before moving to New York, before going on a few job interviews. I paired it with some fun blouses and colorful heels. I got a job and this skirt has been sitting on the back on my closet for more than a year. This summer has been the summer of booty shorts and midriffs- not at the same time, thank God. I’ve been seeing more and more girls with high-rise bottoms and cropped tops, showing just a bit of skin (showing your belly button is a no-no). Not one to be left out of the action, I wanted to show off my abs too!
Lately, I’ve been really digging pencil skirts, which make me feel like I’m going to the office. I try to pair them with not-so-office appropriate garments, like this sexy crop top I got last year to wear to Coachella. You’ve already seen it here! I think this is something a sexy secretary would wear- the kind of secretary you don’t want working for your husband. From the skirt, to the structured satchel- it all makes me feel a little naughty ;) Since I’m a pear shape, pencil skirts are ideal for my type of body: they really show off my curves. As you know, I prefer shorter skirts to longer lengths (they flatter my 5’4″ frame best, making my legs look longer) but I think my legs still look long in this look, yet I know it’s all because of the heels! Heels are everything!
