I turned 25 this year and during my quarter-life crisis I decided to turn my life around. I wanted to get rid of all unnecessary things and people (ahem, refer back to this story) and to become a stronger, happier woman. How did I achieve this? By thinking like a man, of course. Women, we waste too much time and energy trying to please others. Sometimes we do things we don’t want to, or take the blame only because we don’t want to bother someone else. In the other hand, men can be more self-centered (this is not a bad thing!) and have an easier time saying “no.” No matter what Beyoncé sings about, it is MEN who run the world. We could all learn a thing or two from them and only do what we love and feel passionate about, put ourselves first, and stand up for our rights. Only then can women truly run the world.
On another special note. I do NOT smoke! Smoking is a nasty, nasty habit; especially on a young lady. For this shoot I went into a convenience store and asked the guy for their cheapest cigar. This one was vanilla-flavored and it was only $1. At first I thought: “mmm…vanilla!” and then when I tried it I said: “PUAAAGHHH!!!! EWWWWW! EWWWWWW!!!!” We weren’t even sure we were holding it the right way, so we switched to cigarettes. I’ve had some experience with those, but I find them very nasty now. I don’t understand how people know tobacco is harmful and they still smoke it! In case you’re a smoker, is not too late too quit!
