Happy Monday beautiful girls (and occasional male visitors)! Things are slowly getting back to normal post Sandy. I can’t believe we got so lucky and the only thing damaged was the heat, and even that is up an running. Most of my friends got their power and water back this week but some of them are homeless at the moment. Please keep sending your thoughts and prayers to everyone in that situation. Not only here in NYC but everybody else who got hit by Sandy in the Caribbean. Because we’re in the U.S. we know things will be back to normal in about a month, but in other countries like Cuba and the Dominican Republic things are probably never going to be the same! Again, we’re so fortunate!

Enough with the sad and sappy stuff and let’s get back to business. In case you haven’t heard, THE color of the season is oxblood. I used to call it burgundy, but silly me, it’s oxblood. Seriously, it’s everywhere and here’s the great news: it’s a very flattering color for everyone! So far I’ve only acquired this one jacket from H&M (found a similar style in leather here!) and this lipstick by MAKE UP FOREVER in Satin Blackcurrant, no. 48. Be honest now, do we like the lipstick? I think it’s a little too dark for me. I wore it yesterday with more neutral colors (I’m all about blacks, greys and olives lately) and I felt it looked better. Maybe I think it’s weird here because there’s too much oxblood/burgundy going on. Please let me know what you think! If you need some other point of reference here’s a look where I’m wearing the bright red lipstick I rocked throughout the summer. What’s the verdict? Red or oxblood? Also, does anybody else feel the need to eat a bloody steak when you hear the blood “oxblood” or is it just me?
