Moda Eclectic Leopard

Have you noticed the theme of this week? It’s leopard! Or cheetah. Sometimes I have a hard time telling the two apart. Because of the small spots I think this Moda Eclectic jacket has cheetah print, but let’s call it leopard, for uniformity’s sake. I really really love this jacket. A lot of people thought it was a vest which I’d worn over a leopard (cheetah!) print blouse but nop, the sleeves are attached to the jacket; which is what makes it so special. You’ve seen this jacket before here and here, and another piece by Moda Eclectic here. I was able to get an exclusive interview with the designer Augusto Manzanares! Click on “Read More” or on the post’s name for the interview and to see more pics!
P.S. Posting these pics has been nerve-wracking. I’m a girl and just like you I feel insecure about certain body parts. This one goes out to all my girls with thick legs! We’re fabulous!

How would you describe Moda Eclectic in ten words or less?
Free spirit, fun, detailed, avant garde, drama!!!
Who or what inspires your designs?
[My designs are] inspired by people around me with a personal style, friends, fashion eccentric individuals, fashion icons, my fave designers are always present, bloggers’ posts…
Who’s your ideal fashion partner in crime?
It would be a person who is passionate for what they do. Loves art, is open minded, a free spirit, creative, fashionable with their own fashion static of style. I love Anna dello Russo’s fashion personality, and also ADORE Daphne Guinness as person and icon. I think if I were able to spent money on couture pieces I would be a male version of her. It would definitely be a pleasure working with both of them.
Anything you’d like to tell my fabulous readers?
Never give up on your dreams. Never change for society. Dare to try new things fashion-wise, and always believe in yourself.
