Holiday Gift Guide. Gifts for your Mom
Gift ideas for your mom. Last week I showed you some gift ideas under $50 for that other special lady in your life, your BFF. Today I bring you some gifts ideas for the special lady in your life who, ya know, gave you life. I usually keep my gifts under $50, but I figured, since my mom has given me so much, financially and otherwise, there’s really no excuse to not splurge and get her what she deserves. So read on, and tell me what you’ll be getting your mom this year!
For the moms who have it all, including a sweet tooth. While I was still living at home my mom would knock on my door in the middle of the afternoon and say: “Do you have any candy?” Or when I came home from wherever she’d say: “Did you bring me any candy?” Yep, my mom has a sweet tooth all right. And in this aspect, the (sweet) apple didn’t fall far from the tree.
I bought this for my mom a couple of years ago already. She taught me early on to keep hand lotion at hand at all times. You can read more about that here. If your mom is like me, she will keep one of these in her nightstand, one in her purse, and one in the car. It’s also a good idea to keep one by the kitchen sink, since dish soap is your hands’ arch nemesis.
OK, this might also be a very specific gift for my mom, since she likes sleeping in these long gowns. I personally don’t know how she can sleep in these, since they ride up and tangle and I feel like I’m going to choke myself with a silk gown. But anyways, pajamas and robes are always a great gifts because everybody uses them! Just be sure you know what kind they prefer before you get to shopping.
Keeping up with the pajama/loungewear vibe, slippers are awesome! Especially in the colder months.
If you want to spoil your mom a bit, this beautiful, leather clutch has a hand-made-in-South-India silk interior.
