It was Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly, who famously said: “Florals, for Spring? Groundbreaking.” Causing laughter across cinema and TV screens across the globe. Ah, The Devil Wears Prada, a must-watch for any fashionista.

Well yes, florals are very popular in the Spring. Every year we know to expect different types of flowers. I’ve really been into head-to-toe prints, and this pretty flowers caught my eye when I saw them at Macy’s (find the top here, and the skirt over here). They pieces are both on sale right now, at 25% off! So take advantage!

I’m really sick and tired of black, so I’m staying as far away from it as possible. I’m also noticing my style is evolving, and I’m staying farther away from the mini skirts I used to wear. I’m still young and I can still rock an itty bitty dress, but there’s just a sophistication with longer skirts (and a sexy slit) that I’m currently very attracted to. We’ll see how I feel when the weather gets crazy this summer!

I took these pictures last month when I was down in Florida. I got a chance to work with photographer Carlie Chew in the historic neighborhood of Ybor City. If you’re ever in the Tampa Bay Area I think an afternoon in Ybor City is a must. I remember when I was a college student at the University of South Florida I’d go to Ybor on weekends to go dancing. Now, as a slightly-older New Yorker, I’m happy to just go during the day and take in the sights.
