You don’t know how much I had been longing to go to Central Park and take some pictures before all the leaves were gone. I finally got the chance to go last week with my friend José, who took these beautiful pictures! (Check out some other pics we did together!) José is a color junkie so I digged through my closet and pulled out the most colorful thing I could find. I had worn this dress before (see it here) during the summer. I added a long-sleeve shirt to keep from freezing in the mean New York City weather. This was the first time I tried a dress + shirt combo and I have to say I don’t hate it. You might see me rocking this combo a few more times this Winter.
As I mentioned in this post about tights, in this pics I’m wearing three pairs of tights (two blacks and one purple). I also said I was going to try a monochromatic look with tights and shoes. OK, so the shoes are not exactly purple, but it’s the closest I had! I think this look makes my short legs look way longer for three reasons: 1. Heels always make your legs look longer, period. 2.One color on the bottom makes it hard-ish to tell where the the leg stops and the foot begins, even with an ankle strap, and 3. A higher waist, like the one in this mini dress, is a God-sent for ladies with shorter legs, because it makes the natural waist seem higher than it really is. So if anyone asks, I’m 5’8″, mmmkay? Would you try a same color tights + shoe combo?
