‘Cause I’m a babe from New York

Before I say anything, I have to admit I feel bad about posing with an American flag. I’m Venezuelan. I look Venezuelan, I talk, walk, and dance Venezuelan. By chance, I was born in Columbus, Georgia, but only lived there for five months. I grew up in Venezuela with my Venezuelan parents, but because of the political climate I moved to the U.S. when I was 18 to go to college. It most certainly wasn’t love at first sight but now, after so many years I can finally say, from the bottom of my heart, that I love the U.S. of A. I feel like I should be posing with a Venezuelan flag but I swear, it wasn’t until recently that I was able to find one.
This was a 4th of July themed shoot. Yes, I know I’m more than a month late- sue me. What’s so special about this flag is that it’s so old it only has 48 stars instead of the current 50. This shoot was for the site Babes of New York. Stop by and check out my other photos there! I had a fun time playing around with the flag and shooting with Cooper. Hopefully I will get to do a shoot with a Venezuelan flag soon! I leave you with something my friend Teresa wrote on Instagram:
“God Bless America… Land that I love… Because of all the imports like you.”
Shorts. Vintage from my mom’s closet. You’ve seen them here
Shoes (last seen here). Vintage, that’s the brand name, but we all know they’re Jeffrey Campbell knock-offs.
