Day 5 Five of Fashion Week was lots of fun. I can’t say I got much done, as I spent most of the cold day inside CoverGirl’s lounge in the Empire Hotel. I drank some bubbly, ate some food, got my hair, makeup and nails did (by the awesome Mar Y Soul, no less!) and got to mingle with some other fab bloggers. I was psyched to see Daniela of Nany’s Klozet again, whom I ran into at a mall in Venezuela in January. She’s one of my fave bloggers (maybe I’m biased because we’re both brunettes from Venezuela) and is always a treat meeting someone you admire who’s cool and down to earth. Somehow at some point during the day all the bloggers in the lounge were Latinas, including three Venezuelan girls! What are the odds? So much fun! Thank you again, CoverGirl for keeping us warm and pampering us as only you can! Can’t wait to see you next season!
After a few glasses of bubbly I looked at the time and realized I had very little time to make it to my next show, Zero + Maria Cornejo. I put on my coat and rushed outside where, of course, I struggled to find a cab. “23rd and 11th, please!” Fast forward to 20 minutes later, we hadn’t moved one inch – OK, I’m exaggerating, but I’m Latina; I have a knack for it! Gotta hate New York’s rush hour traffic. I payed the driver, hopped off the cab and ran to the nearest train station in my new suede boots. I know I should not have been wearing suede, but not even the snow could keep me from using my new babies! I made it on time for the show and you can see the pics below! Many thanks to my beautiful friend Loraine!
