This Week

Aminta Lincoln Center18Last Fashion Week!

OK, so this is what is going down this week, people.

Wednesday. It’s Day One of the Independent Fashion Blogger’s Conference! Last year, on February 8th, one day after my birthday (which meant I had to leave my own festivities on the earlier side while my friends went to a party with some American football team because they had won one of the soup bowls, or some nonsense like that) I attended IFBcon for the very first time. It was thanks to IFB that I started blogging regularly and thanks to their tips, and my hard work of course, Clothes & Fashion is where it is today. I bought my DSLR camera right before IFBcon last February and I shot on Auto (oh, dear). Check out the photos from my first conference. Now check out the pics from last September. Not bad, uh? Thanks, Beto, for teaching me how to shoot like a pro(ish).

Thursday. Go, go, go, go, go shawty, it’s mah birthday. I’m gonna party like it’s mah birthday. I’m gon’ sip Veuve Clicquot like it’s mah birthday. And you know I don’t give a f*ck, cause it’s mah birthday. I will spend my bday getting up early (after the IFBcon after party, oi!) and attending Day Two of IFBcon. The most exciting part is I’ll be wearing a Mark and James by Badgley Mischka dress. It’s called “Rich and Famous.” Very appropriate for the anniversary of my coming out of my mom’s vagina (I sure hope my mom doesn’t get mad at me for referring to her vagina). Ah yes, Thursday also happens to be the first day of Fashion Week.

I have scheduled posts until Thursday, but after that, and for the rest of Fashion Week, I don’t know what’s going to happen. I need to be ready to leave my house at a moment’s notice during this week; I might get invited to a kick-a** after party, last-minute show, or Carolina Herrera might need me to walk down the runway (you never know!). As always, be patient with me. I’ll be posting sporadically throughout the week, but we’ll be back to normal on the 18th and of course, you’ll be the first to hear all about my Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

In case you’re just dying to hear from me, you can always stalk me; I mean, follow me, on Twitter and/or instagram (amintair).

  1. It must feel so surreal to have so many people take your picture! I’ve always wondered what that feels like. If it’s at night I imagine you can’t see anything for a few seconds, blinded by all the flash!

This all sounds like so much fun. I can’t wait to see pictures from this year, and I hope you’ enjoyed your birthday!! :D
