Pantene, Day Two

On Day Uno of the Pantene shoot I washed my hair with the Pantene’s new Repair and Protect collection, which includes a shampoo, conditioner and leave-in serum. In the past I had been a fan of Pantene’s leave-in conditioners, so I was especially excited to try the Overnight Miracle Repair Serum. You put it on at night and leave it overnight to repair your hair from any damage and you don’t have to worry about rinsing. To style my hair like you see in my pictures I usually use a flat iron and a curling iron almost every day. My hair has suffered the consequences and has been looking and feeling a little dry. I also blame the winter months. So as you can imagine, I was really looking forward to seeing the serum’s results the morning of Day Two.

The day started with Gabriel Sambra, Pantene’s hair stylist extraordinaire paying me a visit; while I was still in my robe! He had stopped by the room to do my hair and makeup and talk to me a little bit about my hair. I have to admit I have a little bit of a crush on Gabriel. A fellow Venezuela, he is not only very charismatic, but also ridiculously handsome and incredibly talented. It only took him a few minutes to apply Pantene’s Heat Protection Spray and blow dry my curly strands into shiny, beautiful tresses. He then used a curling iron on my hair and I ended up looking faaaabulous and feeling like Miss Venezuela.

My final verdict on the Overnight Miracle Repair Serum. It feels and goes on really light. The bottle says to use one or two pumps, but I have so much hair I cheated and used three. My hair without using any hot tool has a loose curl, but in the morning it was a lot straighter than usual. It still had lots of texture and LOTS of volume. I honestly wasn’t expecting all the volume, but it was a welcomed surprised, since my hair is very fine and can be limp. The smell wasn’t overpowering but very subtle. I liked that, a lot. Still, I feel like I need a few more night treatments with the serum to see its full benefits. I’ll use the whole Repair and Protect collection for a few more weeks and report back to you!
