I teamed up with a new, fun and shoppable app, Mobella, for a fun photoshoot. Brian Aderer was behind the lens this time, and the stylist for this project was Jackie, of Sell It Now NY. S.I.N.N is an online store with new and vintage designer goodies. From Alice & Olivia to Balenciaga and many brands in between. Everything I’m wearing here you can find at S.I.N.N’s online store, so be sure to click the links below the pictures.
Is it me or is this outfit kind of Mad Men inspired? Love it! Don’t forget to see the first look here! And download Mobella on the app store!

For the longest time, Tuesday has been Shoesday- but I like to mix things up a little, so I’m declaring this Tuesday Socksday- nah, that doesn’t really work. Growing up in Venezuela and going to school in Florida I never really got to wear tights – or any of the fun non-summer garments, like scarves, beanies, leather jackets, boots… The one thing I look forward to the most when the temperature starts dropping is taking my winter clothes out of storage and reacquaint myself with all my hosiery. Confession, up until 2 seconds ago I wasn’t even sure how to pronounce the word hosiery. Thanks dictionary.com. Ho, cherie.
I discovered Ozone socks a few months ago, while the weather still permitted bare legs. I liked their fun designs and I immediately knew I had to show you some of their stuff here on the blog. We shot these pictures on the same day we shot the pictures of my Miss Venezuela Halloween costume. I got to Beto’s studio and realized I hadn’t really brought any clothes, so I just shot them in this blue leotard/bathing suit. I haven’t gotten a chance to wear these two pairs in an outfit, but I wore a different one during LuckyFABB, make sure to see the rest of the look!
Don’t forget to check out Ozone socks!

Just let me pull my pants up real quick! –> Denim on Denim.
Getting my picture taken has become part of my every day life, out of more than 100 pics taken, only around 10 make it to the blog. You don’t often get to see the pictures where my hair is not perfectly coiffed, or the one where a bee lands in a bed of flowers one feet away from me, causing me to jump and scream. You don’t get to see, to some of my male audience’s disappointment, the pictures where the wind blows up my skirt, or the pictures where I’m making a face at the photographer. You only see the pictures I want you to see. I’ve shown you twice before some pictures that never made it to the blog- check them out here and here, but is about time I show you a few more, just so you don’t forget that underneath the heavy eye makeup and the tousled hair, I’m still a real girl, who likes to stick her tongue out.
There’s a space online dedicated to demystifying the always ethereal and beautiful (if I may say so myself) personal style bloggers. Bloggers Bloopers is a hilarious new tumblr featuring personal style bloggers from around the country and their not-so-fabulous blooper pictures. Before you head over there, check out some of my other blooper pics below the jump. Don’t forget to click on the links below the pics to see the whole post, with the pretty pictures that made the cut!

There’s a rule that says you’re not allowed to wear white after Labor Day, but fashion rules are meant to be broken. I think an all-white outfit looks very crisp in the colder months, although this is more of a cream outfit, I suppose. I’m still new to this whole change of seasons things, coming from the equator and all. But a big part I like about cold weather is the cozy fabrics we get to wear. I paired this knit sweater with a sequin skirt to make it a bit less casual. And to create some contrast among all the angelical white (or cream), I wore these black suede thigh-highs (which I got at almost nothing earlier this year when they were getting rid of the winter iteams). Notice something a little bit different in this background? We’re not in New York City anymore, Toto.
It was a Thursday night, when my friends and I decided to drive to Connecticut and take as many pictures are possible. We shot a total of 7 outfits in two days. Needless to say I was very tired, but it was worth it because we got amazing pictures! The closest we can get to nature in New York City is Central Park, which is beautiful but always crowded. I’m lucky to be able to get away from The City every once in a while, and to breathe some fresh air! Especially with some great friends like Beto and Jose!

Have you heard of Mobella? Is a new, shoppable app that lets you look at outfits from your favorite bloggers (ahem, that’d be me, right?) and shop their looks, right on your phone! The app doesn’t officially launch until tomorrow, so you’re getting a very special sneak peek! I’m honored to have been hand-selected by the Mobella team to be one of the founding curators. Mobella set up a fun photoshoot with photographer extraordinaire Brian Aderer and around we went the Flatiron District snapping some cool fashions for you!
For this project we teamed up with Sell It Now NY, (S.I.N.N) and everything I’m wearing comes form their e-commerce store, which sells new and used designer goodies. Jackie, the founder and chick in charge at S.I.N.N picked out and styled three looks for me, two of which you’ll be seeing in the upcoming weeks.
Be sure to download Mobella (free on the app store) and be sure to add me as one of your favorite curators! Pretty please?

I’ve got lots of love to give. I’m a hopeless romantic. Always was. Always will be. I told you once that love stories suck, then I told you to love yourself before you love someone else, and now I’m just showing you a skirt that’s full of love, literally.
Here’s five random things I love:
1. Sundays in bed, especially in the wintertime.
2. Reading all your comments and messages <3
3. A great sale.
4. Freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.
5. These super comfy Chinese Laundry booties. Which you’ve only seen about one thousand times.

Yes, I know. I have a lot of shoes from Charlotte Russe; but can you blame me?They’re too cute and affordable! Here’s yet another pair (besides this one, and this one). These are not sandals, but they’re not booties either! They’re a perfect hybrid for those days you can’t decide which to wear. Unfortunately, these are hibernating for the winter. I can’t wait to take them out and play when it gets warm again. See how I styled them this past summer. Miss you already, summer!
What do you think of these heels?

“En una noche tan linda como esta, cualquiera de nosotras podría triunfar. Ser coronada Miss Venezuela, en una noche tan linda como esta.” On a night as pretty as this one, any one of us could triumph. Be crowned Miss Venezuela, on a night as pretty as this one.” This song marks the beginning of one of Venezuela’s most awaited nights: the night of the Miss Venezuela beauty pageant. Few Venezuelan girls dream of growing up and becoming models, but we all dream of becoming Miss Venezuela. We grow up hearing that Venezuela has the most beauty queens in the whole world; and so do a lot of people around the globe. When I guy asks me where I’m from and I say I’m from Venezuela, 8 out of 10 times they will say: “Venezuela has some of the most beautiful women in the world.” I never get tired of hearing that.
I have a very difficult name, even for Spanish speakers. Aminta is not a very common name and is not easy to remember. Many people have resorted to calling me Miss Venezuela, which I love. Just like every other little Venezuelan girl, I dreamed of one day being crowned Miss Venezuela. I’m thrilled to play a “Miss,” if only for one night. I have been wearing this crown around the house lately- just ’cause. Whenever I put it on I just feel sooooo good. Instant mood booster! Here’s some advice: Go buy yourself a crown and wear it whenever you’re feeling down.
What are you going to be this Halloween?
P.S. Check out last year’s Halloween costume!

Hey everyone! Sorry I was MIA this past week. If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you know I was at a fashion and beauty blogger’s conference by Times Square. LuckyFABB is a two-day conference hosted by Lucky Magazine. I had attended the Independent Fashion Blogger’s conference before (you can see my pictures here and here), but this was my first time at LuckyFABB. During the two days I got to mingle with some amazing fashion bloggers from all over the U.S., and even a handful of internationals. I got to listen to some very inspiring panels, and even got a chance to see and hear Eva Mendes and Kate Bosworth talk style.
I got to know tons of brands and got lots of goodies. I mean, an insane amount of goodies! I can’t wait to style and review them and tell you all about it. I cannot wait for the next LuckyFABB- it was such an amazing experience this first time around! I didn’t get a chance to make street style pics of other bloggers. I felt like in between panels and networking I had very little time to even pull out my camera. I did, however, manage to get some outfit shots, thanks to Alex of Glory Boon. I’m going to live forever. My body will decay and my hear will stop beating, but me, Aminta Iriarte, as I am now, will live forever. Most of us will live forever through everything we’ve posted online. Every status update, every picture, every comment, will stay online long after we’re gone. When I was younger I used to look at a beautiful black and white portrait of my mom when she was 17 and I hoped that I, someday, would also get my picture taken in that way so I could be immortalized while I was still young and beautiful. Little did I know that posing for pictures would become a regular part of my life. I am now the proud owner of more than 1,000 pictures, some of which, I can shamelessly say, adorn the walls of my apartment.
Last December my image was perpetuated in yet another way when an unknown artist (I wish I knew her name) drew an illustrated version of me, which you can see in this post. This year, however, I have been immortalized in yet another way I never in my wildest dreams thought possible. This is the 21st century; a time of digital files and intangible pictures. Today, I am the subject of a painting. My friend Marina Ross was commissioned a painting inspired by a photo of a blonde girl. Marina, who has a beautiful and gentle soul, didn’t like the picture, or perhaps she didn’t feel a connection with it, so she asked me to pose and recreate it. She picked me up one afternoon and up and down we went the West Side Highway. She kept sending me pictures of the progress of the painting and you can see all of those, in chronological order below.
It’s a weird feeling, knowing that a stranger has a huge painting of me in her apartment. Marina says she (the owner of the painting) loves it- and why wouldn’t she? Marina Ross is one talented artist! I know is silly for me to feel this queasy, after all, all of you and thousands of others have my image in their computers or cell phones every day, all over the world. Yet this feels more personal. This is not just a picture you can see in seconds on Facebook, or Instagram. She will see me every day. People will walk into her place and compliment the painting. “It’s an original Marina Ross,” I hope she’ll say. I wonder if we ever run into each other on the street if she’d recognize me. Dear stranger, whoever you are, please take good care of me. Dear Marina, thank you for painting me!
